Is Cardinal free?​

Yes. Cardinal Home Server, and the Music, Photos, and Cinema web apps are all free. You don't need to make an account or even connect to the internet.

Where is the API reference for my Home Server?​

Those docs are not on this website. You're looking for <home-server-ip>:24900/api/docs.

Is Cardinal open source?​

No, not at this time.

Are there any mobile apps?​

Not yet, but they are planned.
