Telemetry

Summary

Telemetry is anonymous data collected from consenting Cardinal users intended to provide insight into how the apps are used and to detect issues early.

Telemetry data is never sourced from your media data or your personal information, and the data is stored on Cardinal's cloud servers in a way that makes it impossible to trace back to any single Cardinal user or Home Server.

Examples of telemetry data

  • The number of times a page was viewed
  • The names of the features that were used, and how many times
  • The duration of a session
  • Anonymized device information (not fingerprintable)

Enabling telemetry on your Home Server is an effective way to help us keep your apps working correctly without giving up privacy.
