Album art thumbnails
The album_art_thumbnails job will create thumbnails of your album artwork.
Sources
There are two places that album artwork can come from.
- Embedded: An image can be embedded directly in the music files. Cardinal Home Server assumes that all music files in an album have the same embedded artwork.
- File system: Artwork can also come from the file system by placing an
image in the same directory as the music files. The image must be named
cover.jpgorfolder.jpg.
Prioritization
Contrary to other metadata, the file system artwork will be prioritized over the embedded artwork. This makes it easy to change the album art without having to modify the data embedded in each file.
File types
Supported image filetypes are .jpg, .png, and .gif.
