Telemetry
Summary
Telemetry is completely anonymous data collected from consenting Cardinal users about how they use their Cardinal apps. Enabling telemetry provides helpful information that can be referenced when making development decisions.
Telemetry data is never sourced from your media data, your playback data, or your personal information, and the data is stored on Cardinal's cloud servers in a way that makes it impossible to trace back to any single Cardinal user or Media Server.
Examples of telemetry data
- Anonymized device information (not fingerprintable).
- The number of times a page was viewed.
- The duration of a session.
- The names of features that were used.
- How frequently features are used.
- How features are configured.
- Performance metrics.
- Error messages.
